Medical Massage

Done by a specially trained therapist (with other medical back ground such as nurse, chiropractor or physiotherapy) knowledge of complex medical conditions and the effect these conditions have on the muscular system.

Fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, rotator cuff illness, tennis elbow, muscular strain, sports injury, Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disease, and migraine headaches are just a few of the problems that respond favorably to medical massage therapy.

Massage has been shown to improve other medical conditions such as back pain, surgical recovery, sleeping and eating disorders, and even high blood pressure and diabetes as part of a healthcare team.

Therapeutic Massage

Manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the

purpose of normalizing those tissues and consists of

manual techniques that include applying fixed and

movable pressure to the muscle with a contrast of light and deep pressure. Focused on areas where tension is held, such as tight shoulders, a stiff neck, or lower back pain. Therapeutic massage can help relieve muscle and joint pain, reduce stiffness, increase blood circulation, and promote overall well-being.

Unlike medical massage, therapeutic massage does not focus on medical conditions; it's focus is on soft tissue injuries' and the surrounding tissues.

Swedish (relaxation) Massage

Gentle, flowing strokes that stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, leading to a reduction in cortisol levels, the stress hormone. Benefits of relaxation massage include relieving stress and anxiety, relaxing muscles, enhancing overall health, and improving circulation. It is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and can contribute to overall well-being.

Deep Tissue Massage

Used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue.

It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.
